    Question Turtle Beach Roadie and SVEN4 HELP??!!

    Hey guys.. i need some help. So after doing some researching and digging around i figure the next alternative to my external soundcard would be teh ROADIE .. so here is my problem ::

    at the moment i am using the onboard sound on my motherboard, this is hooked via a splitter that goes through RCA cables and hooked up through the SVEN4 module which is hooked up to the stock headunit wiring in order to utilize my stock amp .

    Now at first i was going to go with the M-Audio Firewire Audiophile , since it has 4 RCA output jacks which would make it a lot easier to hook up to the SVEn4 , but i scratch that soundcard due to budget concerns. so the Roadie is the choice of sound card at the moment.

    Now my question is, what would be the best IDEAL method to hook up the ROADIE to my SVEN4 in order to utilize the 4 channels input on teh SVEN 4 so i can get a good stereo sound through all my speakers - front/rear and the stock subs.

    looking at the diagram ::

    i see there are 1/8" sockets, for rear, front and c/s ..

    here is the SVEN4 i am using ::

    now, I am guessing to get this to work, i would most likely use splitter for the front/rear sockets from the roadie and use a 1/8 socket to RCA converter in order to have it plugged into the SVEN 4 ??

    basically i just want to be able to hook the roadie to the sven4 using the best method ??

    --many thanks in advance..

    Hi Steph

    The connection you described at the end of you post seems to be the simplist. You can choose from either the Green socket (front) or the 3.5mm out socket. I would assume the green socket would sound better as this should be line level.

    There is a more complicated method where you can remap the rear channels of the sound card to play the same as the front channels, but this requires some software and gets complicated very quickly.

    That being said you should compare the sound with and without the sven4 and see what sounds better. You may be plesently surprised...

    cheers,
    Brent
