yes get the PDX-4.150 or get the 4.100 if that's too much power, wooohoo!
Hi everyone!
I'm replacing the stock HU and amp. in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler (JK) and I'm having a heck of a time choosing a replacement amp. The HU is easy; I'm replacing it with a 1/2 DIN AudioControl THREE.1 preamp and using the AUX input for my MP3 player (the remaining 1 DIN will host a CB). The stock Infinity speakers are 2 ohms; two tweeters in the front, two 6 1/2" up front, two 6 1/2" in the soundbar, and a 10" sub in the back. I'm probably going to keep these for a while, and upgrade them in the future, so the replacement amp. has to handle both 2 and 4ohm speakers.
A few people have suggested the JL Audio 500/5, but 25W for the rears sounds kinda low. I've been leaning towards the Alpine PDX-4.150 and Alpine PDX-1.600 combo, but that may be too much power (gasp!)... What do you guys think? I'm a newbie at this audio stuff, so your opinions would be greatly appreciated. :-)
Thanks,
js.

you can't have too much power, just adjust your gains accordingly
