    I need help

    Is my amp big enough for my Subs? I have a 1700 watt amp wired into 2 12' 1200 watt, 600 RMS

    your amp is more then enough for those subs. you could actually blow them if your not careful. where did you get the dual box? best buy, cuz they sell em there. i know i work there.

    no million buy, so i need to be careful because it will be easy to blow them? So will i need a Cap.? or what?

    It all really depends on your alternator and battery. hook the subs up and play them. if you see your lights dimming alot then i would hook up a cap to it. if your lights dont dim then forget the cap and spend the money elsewhere. some people like caps some people hate them and think they are useless.

    why is it a love/hate thing. I guess i dont know enough to tell the difference but, it sounds like a needed source. Up in other post, it says my amp is to powerful. I do not know the exact math put if the subs RMS is 600 and my total output is somewhere around 1700( which i know isnt always close) wouldnt i be right in the correct area? thanks a million everyone. I will post my picks when i get finished. If you cannot tell its going into a 2000 Ford Taurus so :-p
    People may make fun of my car, but i can beat a lot of people off a line, and my stock speakers sound better then most, my head unit is a Dual something, i will post later when i get into my car and find the box. Stuff is spouse to be in tues. the same day NCAA comes out. So gotta hope it come a day early or day late XD
