    Sherwood XDTS-80 .. not powering

For those who have or had owned a Sherwood XDTS-80 5.1 Surround Sound Processor, I currently can not get mine to power on. I used to power on but since I have rerun all my wires, I plugged it back in and I'm getting no power. I've connected both the Constant and Ignition wires. Gound of course is also connected. The only wire not connected is "Backup", I don't even know what it is for. Is there an internal fuse that may have been popped? It's been awhile since I have looked at the unit as it was hidden away when I first wired it up.

If it is dead, I think I'l be in the market for a new one.

Do you have a multi-meter? If you havent already, test out if you are getting the correct power signals from your constant, ignition and proper grounding. Something may have happened to those wires when you re-ran them.

And "most" components for a car do not have an internal fuse. They usually have a fuse mounted somewhere near the harness on the outside of the unit's chasis, or in line with the wires
