Isnt it that the impreza is just an ISO-mount where the radio should go?
I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I can purchase the single din adapter for my Subaru. There is a kit out there that will allow me to install my head unit in place of the clock/airbag monitor. I need to place a 7" LCD in the main double din hole and then place my standard single din Eclipse 5000 in the dash single din spot. That way I get the Eclipse quality audio and still have the LCD in dash for my GPS in car computer.![]()

he's using the normal spot for the display, and wants to install the HU in the space above the vents, where the clock and airbag monitor light goes now:

I want to use the area circled in the previous post for my standard 1 din head unit. I am using the area where the head unit would normally go for the Carputer and 8" LCD touch screen.
Anyone know where I can get the 1 din mount for that area?![]()
Yeah thats what I gather. But I was under the impression that the OP was wanted to place the single din 7" LCD in place of the factory stereo, which uses ISO-mounts to hold it in place.

Nope, just looking to put my 1 DIN in the upperdash...and then the car computer with touch lcd in the spot where the stock radio goes. So, do you know if there is a 1DIN kit for that spot circled in the post?
Oh, from your original post, I was under the impression that you already knew of the DIN adapter for the clock replacement. Hey, everybody is entiltle to make mistakes now and again. I thought I was wrong once a while back also, but I was mistaken.
So you're saying you've seen this done before? If so, where? I dont believe that is something you can purchase, but something that requires custom modification. Doing something like that is very specific and I don't believe many people would opt for that sort of thing. I wasnt able to find anything when I searched for it.

Actually, most Subaru owners use that spot for their stereo or for extra gauges for their turbo setup. So, I am assuming that there must exist a kit of some sort that allows for a 1DIN stereo or 3 65mm gauges to be mounted there.
Anyone know what I am talking about? I have seen it before...just can't remember where.
Well that answers that. I just did a search on google for impreza gauge pod and I came up with more than an hand full of places that has that. And that works for the 2004+ impreza cars. I saw it on scoobytuner.com and it goes for $80 before shipping. Not to sound like an a$$ but did you bother to search for yourself?

Yes, I did some searching on my own....however, I did not come up with the exact model for the 2006 Impreza 2.5.
So, I thought I would ask those people here...for a second opinion and any other sites where the kit was less expensive.
I could only find this kit for $120....so, your help is greatly appreciated.
