SQ rebuild, have some questions on securing wires

I am planning on doing a complete new rebuild SQ style. And I am wanting to purchase some wire loom. I was looking into techflex(clean cut), I have a few questions.

    1. Whats a good online(trusted) or retail store to get wire loom, doesnt have to be techflex, but it needs to get the job done. I am trying to avoid that plastic loom you can get at HD if all possible.

    2. to mount them to the floor of the car, is everybody using those zipties with screw set thing?...what if I use tunnel tape?

    3. In my accord im looking it doesn't seem like i can find a place to hide the wire going straight down without it showing..hump? Im thinkin to run the wire next to the center console path type channel. How do you manage to hide your wires?

    4. Heat shrink tubing. im looking to buy assorted colors to keep everything color coded for ease. I think im going to get that from Parts express, unless you know of a better shop?

    5. Thank You in advance, i hope Jan chimes in.

gaffer's tape is what i used under the carpet

i find a corner to run my wires along, try to find a path with the most obstructions and run it under that.

    4. Heat shrink tubing. im looking to buy assorted colors to keep everything color coded for ease. I think im going to get that from Parts express, unless you know of a better shop?

scott pretty much got you covered.

If you have a fry's local to you they carry techflex and all sorts of heatshrink and in different colors if that is what you want. Or just get it from PE. They are cheap. www.selectproducts.com has pretty much everything too, but the cost more.

For securing cables without drilling screw holes I recommend those plastic cable tie mounts with adhesive backing. You should be able to find them at local hardware stores or anywhere online. Then just secure to it with a zip-tie.

i like the gaffers tape idea , but i figured tunnel tape would have been better for securing wires, either way no residue.

Dam thats an excellent price for 4" gaf tape. I've been spending $20 a 2" roll from guitar center and altex for almost 2 years now. sad isnt it. thanks for the website. I was looking for a good site for that caution gaffers tape, i needed it for work (videographer).

Same Frys i go to as well. I've always seen those longa$s heatshrink tubing but never much paid attention to the price, any idea how much it costs?

    WireCare.com

I swear we should get kick backs from those guys as much as we recomend them. Unlike other places, they sell EVERYTHING, not just PET loom, but the fire retardant stuff that we use, self extinguishing, 3:1 heat shrink, etc.

D-rings and the metal alternative. Tape isn't such a good idea if you're going to be judged. They want to see it secured to the car, not just taped to the car.

In preexisting wire cavities, under carpet, get creative. Pull up the factory pad under the carpet if you have to. Believe me, you don't want that wire to roll around under your feet.

Yeup - Wirecare...go 3:1 NO MATTER WHAT. Yes, it's more expensive, but it gives a MUCH more professional look thank 2:1 and it's more flexible than the 2:1 stuff. Fry's does NOT sell 3:1 and their product is MUCH cheaper than the good stuff that wire care sells. It's not as flexible and is a much lower quality. The black shows creases and discolors on creases much too easily. It's much more pliable from wire care. We've had to use the Fry's crap in a pinch before...heck, we used it before we knew about wire care...I'd rather wait for a shipment from wire care before I use the Fry's crap in the car again.
