Did you run power to the antenna lead? That would be my guess.

I have installed my carpc into my 2004 Dodge Ram. I have a pioneer head unit that is connected to my SB x-fi soundcard. I can play cd's w/o any noise issue but as soon as I try to listen to my radio I get poor reception. I live in a rural area and before I put in my carpc my stock HU got good reception on about 4 stations. Now I can get only 1. If I use an antenna extension and connect my current Pioneer HU to my Mazda Miata I get perfect reception on 5 stations and no static. Any suggestions? I have done nothing to my stock Dodge antenna since putting in the carpc.

No my antenna is not powered. I think I'll try to reverse this and see how my miata radio works with the dodge antenna by connecting it with my 12 ft extension cable. Could it be my antenna is bad?
Make sure you ground everything(computer case, antenna assembly, power supply) very well, I had same problem, and follower Gizmo's advice, now it works just fine, no noise on FM.
