I'm not trying to speak for anybody else, but I believe what the other memebers were trying to say, ever so eloquently, is that you are asking the wrong people that question. This site is dedicated to the persuit of integrating a PC into ones car. Some members on here may have gone into this project with the intent to stay cutting edge and do something that is not easilly done. With that intention sacrifices of the factory equiptment were made. The vast majority of the members on here have already nixed their factory unit if they even have a Headuint in their car after they have implemented their carPC.
So I believe you are barking up the wrong tree with that question.

again, as I've said in many other threads, I don't want to push someone away from this community who has a simple car audio question. I came to this site just looking for an answer to a simple question, and started reading through these threads, and found myself inspired to go through with putting the PC in the car. If the OP wants to ask a non-CarPC related question, then they will get a less than desired answer. If they want help with installing the CarPC, there are thousands of people here to help.

    Had you phrased the question:
"I have a Grand Cherokee limited 2000 with infinity gold system. I would like to know where 75% volume is so that the deck isn't sending any clipped audio to the amps. Does any one know how many turns till full volume, or a simple way to find this out?"

This thread would have looked a lot different. We (at least me) are willing to help, but you have to help us help you. DarquePervert has a link in his sig to a site explaining how to ask the right question the right way. Take this as a lesson learned.
If you are still done with this site, then bye, at least this thread will help someone with this car in the future (if they actually search...) if you will just put on a band-aid, and continue on, then welcome back.
    Thank you

    Well then again, welcome back.
The way I see it is the entire internet is corrupted by all the people in the world that abuse it, and most forums have the same people on them. There are people who if I met in person would get a slap to the face, and a punch in the gut. But luckily for us (and them) we don't have to actually see them. We have every right to just disregard their words as stupid and move on, or we can get hurt by them, or we can take the few (hopefully) little pieces of good info they might have and learn something from it. It's just a matter of how you take the information that's thrown at you.

By the way, any plans to put the carputer in? I'd love to see what you would do...
