Sounds like a either a bad RCA conenction or a bad ground. What brand was it anyways?
I suddenly started getting a rumbling from my subs even with no music. I disconnected the USB DAC (soundcard) but it continued. I pulled over and systematically disconnected things from the crossover. With no input it still did it but if I removed the outputs, it stops so it must be the crossover causing it. One of my components has now blown so I suspect the crossover isn't earthing and while the subs could take it, the components couldn't.
Does this sound feasible?
