damn man! sorry to hear about that. there are companies out there that will repair broken amps, you may want to start there. (i assume that it's a 'gray market' amp w/o jl warranty?)
Hey, I bought a JL300/4 amplifier from another member on the forum, and when I tried it to set the gains, the low ohm protection light goes on. I disconnected everything, and the light still comes on. I tried going from one input to another testing the RCA's by plugging in an RCA playing music into the amp with all the gains set down, and I came up to an RCA that when I plugged it in, I started to hear the music comming out of the amp... no speakers hooked up, just music comming out of my amp with only power, and one rca...
Any idea's as to what I do? (Other then trash it)

well, its an older amp bought second hand... AKA it prob. broke so he sold it to me, but I'm not going to go as far as to say that is what definatly happened, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt...
you can get anything repaired, obviously you'd have to pay for it, but just ask around any repair shops
i work at a repair shop here in canada, and we'll take a look at anyting thats broken, whether we're authorized for that manufacturer or not
well, considering your out of my area, so I wouldn't be stealing business from you... any idea's?
JL audio will repair it if you call them. Of course it will cost you some $ though. I know of a few other places that could repair it as well.
System always under construction
any idea around how much jl would cost?
I'd call them but some one else said this in another forum
Here is another good place you might be able to get it fixed at.JL charges $120 including return shipping to fix them to new spec (not cosmetics though).

yeah, I called tech support today, 120 flat rate to repair it... but they didnt say anything about "new spec" wonder what the includes, what forum you get that from?
I believe "new spec" might be that they put a new board in (sometimes its easier that way than trying to fix them). So the guts are new, the outside heatsink is the same one you sent in.
