A stereo line in cable.
It will have the 1/8" headphone jack on both ends. It sounds as if the cable you have is either mono or damaged.
My headunit has a headphone jack on it, and I'm connecting an mp3 player with the same headphone jack on it. I have a cable that has a headphone male end on both ends and when installed I only get sound out of one channel, but if I retract the cable just a little I can get both channels.
Now...If I take a headphone to RCA adapter cable and use a double female RCA adapter to connect 2 headphone to RCA cable adapters, they work fine.
I just need to know exactly what cable I need to connect these 2 devices via the headphone jacks to get both channels.
Thanks.
Yeah, it sounds like you need a stereo cable. As dumb as it sounds, most portable devices come with a single channel mono cable.
A good way to identify which one you have: If the plug has two little "black rings" around it, it is stereo, if it only has one, then it is mono.
