the midbass wouldn't be mono. actually...i wonder if this would work. s/pdif to the behringer. remap inputs 1 and 2 to be pass through outputs. then wire those outputs to your sub amp and use the amps x-over to control the sub.

i think that may just work. you have to look into it and make sure you can remap the inputs to pass through though

edit...just opened up the program and i dont see a way to set the inputs to outputs. but still if you are going out of a soundcard analog(ly?) you could just get a y- splitter for both chans and hook it up as i described in post 21

This is a tough one. If you could do firewire then there would be a couple of options. Or PCI even. Are you really limited to USB? Are you limited to external?

As mentioned earlier, you could always use a secondary crossover either from a n amp or an outborad crossover to divide the sub and midbass.

I.E. Low pass at lets say 200Hz coming out of the processor, then use the amps built in highpass for the midbass and the other amps low pass to just the sub.

I was going to use this converter to obtain a digital or analog signal from my computer and then go to the processor:

The sub and the midbass are already divided due to seperate amps with electronic xovers...my only concern is the behringer only has 3-channels...whereas i need 4-channels.

Which is why you would need to run two Behringers...like I was going to have to do (might still do, not sure).

2 channels on one and 2 on the other...means more processing avaliable over all which is a good thing, means double the cost and double the places to find somewhere to put the things though.

True, that is why I was looking into the clarion drz...it has everything the behringer has and 4 separate channels...what do yall think about that compared to behringer

Does the Clarion have aux input, I don't recall.

The mutliple DAC thing had a couple hurtles IIRC:

    1) 4 USB ports are required
    2) Clock syncing?? I think
    3) Price (for some not a big deal, but for others it's an expensive option even with a good inexpensive DAC)

If there was a way to use one USB port and combine the DACs internally to use the same clock, then that would be great. HippoHifif was goign to look into (I think) but I don't know where he got with it. I had searched everywhere, and there have a been a couple of attempts at other forums that discussed multi-channel DACS but they always fizzled out.

Yeah the clarion has aux inputs...but has the software end been proven to work with the roadrunner front end as far as the eq and videos, dvds? I would really like to go this route over any external processor just because of customization. Do you have instant messaging?
