You definitely need the fuse between the battery and the cap. One between the cap and the amp is not necessary. Be sure that the cap is mounted right next to the amp. The subs are each 100W RMS and have a 4ohm impedance.
Hi guys,
I have a question that you guys might be able to help me with.
I want to put some old subs that I have in my car.... as I might as well use them. Ok so my question is that I have 2x Rockford RFZ1412's so i'm gona need an amp, but I can't remeber the specs of the subs. The Rockford website is down and it doesn't say on the subs themselves, so i'm hopin you guys might know?
Ohhh and my other question is that I will be installing a cap. Am I right in thinking that I don't need to install a fuse between the battery and cap, just between the cap and amp?
Cheers
Guy

Technicaly you should fuse the cap just because it stores a ton of energy but noone does.

Hi guys, thanks for your help.
Ok so I just need a fuse between that battery and cap.... if no fuse is needed between the cap and amp what rating fuse would I need between the battery and cap???
Cheers
That would depend on the size of the cable you;re using.what rating fuse would I need between the battery and cap???
