HI guys, this is my first post here and my english isn't perfect... sry 'bout that
I bought an Crunch 175.4 ( 4channel )amplifier few weeks ago. I've got a clarion mp375 deck which have 2 preout at 3.4 volt (4volt as they said)
So there is one output for my 2 sub and one left for the 4 channel.
I used to split the rca signal for the 4 channel because i there is two input on the crunch amplifier. After tuning the gain, the sound was good, but not enought. So i try to keep the 4 volt signal and send it to my rear 6x9 polk , and they sound cleaner and louder than they use to. For the front channel, i use the "output" from that crunch amplifier and put it back in the input for the front channel. Is there any problem with that? i searched the whole web for hours and haven't found an answer yet. The sound itselft is really clean for the 6x9 and is cool too for the front 6.5 alpine speaker, but they don't sound as loud as the polk. The polk are ratted 100 w rms and the alpine 50w rms so that my be normal.
I just wanted to know if the amplifie will blow or something since i take the output signal to input the front speaker. The sound is really nicer when i don't split the rca before the input.
I just called an capacitor too and i wanted to know if there is a problem to put 3 amplifier on it ( it's a 6 farad kole audio). Is there any reason to put the crunch amplifier on it too?
thank you for reading and for your answer
No one know? don't be shy :P
It is arrogant to expect that the one person who has the anser to your question log into these forums and respond to you in the 13 hour timeframe that you dictate....
Besides, this forum ia focused on vehicle PC's. You may get an answer.. You may not....
A better source of info would be a car audio-centric forum.
Good luck to you
Yes that's fine - presuming you're using one amps RCA outputs/pass through to connect to another amp input.i use the "output" from that crunch amplifier and put it back in the input for the front channel. Is there any problem with that?
Don't waste your time/money installing a capacitor.I just called an capacitor too and i wanted to know if there is a problem to put 3 amplifier on it ( it's a 6 farad kole audio). Is there any reason to put the crunch amplifier on it too?
so, does your sub woofers have a seperate amp running them? Or do you have that four channel amp powering the subs and all the other speakers in the car? When you buy a headunit, if your planning on having subs and other speakers in the car it a good idea to buy a deck which has 3 rca pre-outs not two. is if your only going to hook up four speakers which could be front doors and rear deck speakers. now if your amp has another set of rca out on it, then you can hook up more then four speakers. but, the amp output rca is to run to another amp, not directly to other speakers.so basically need another amp to hook up more than four speakers. So for the subs, check to see if everything is connect well. you should have a mono block amp on the subs. I think you have it hooked up wrong, I do car audio hook ups all the time. I never hook up a system like that. You should nt be splitting the signal of the rca's. You should only be using the inputs of the amp, not the out unless you have another amp that it going into. That is what the rca out is for on an amp. my current amp doesnt have an rca out, but only two rca inputs. Most sub amps have both rca inputs and out, so that you can hook up many sub amps off of one pre-out signal.
I know my system is weird, i bought all the piece over the time....
i've got a ma audio monoblock of 800w rms ( look more like 400at 2ohm ) powering a pionners champion 400wrm, a apx 1300 (400w rms at 2 ohm) powering another pionners champ an the crunch audio powering all four speakers. i use the output from the ma audio to send the signal to the apx1300 from the deck output.
the crunch is getting the signal from a pair of rca, then from the output of the crunch, it goes back to the input signal of that same amp (the other one).
Now i've instal the capacitor, the light bulb stop flashing, the capacitor got the same voltage as the battery, but does not light? neither the voltimeter or the blue led that are supposed to flash on big bass hit.
