Hey all. Does anyone know if you can buy something that can tell if the radio is on cd mode or radio mode? I've an electric aerial and I want it to go down automatically. I can do it manually by putting a switch in line but I'd rather it be automatic.
Some Sony radios do it, even my one seemed to do it when I got it and fitted it yesterday but when I removed the switch I had in there it stopped lowering the aerial. It works fine when shutting off the unt but I'd like it to work when I don't need the radio.
I have AF/TA turned off as I know that uses the radio even while using the cd.
Any help would be great. Cheers.
Does your radio have 2 remote lines, a blue wire and a blue/white wire? If so, the solid blue wire is meant for your power antenna wire ("on" only when using the radio). The Blue/white wire is for amp turn on (always "on" when the player is "on").
Although if it only has one blue wire out of the radio then you dont have that option.

I got it working. Turns out I was stupid and forgot I had disconnected the whole lot again so all the settings wiped. It was wired up right.
