    Monsoon and clarion beetle radio

I just bought a 1999 Volkswagens beetle, one of the problems with it is most of the button on the radio don't work. I can change the channel and thats about it.

I can get one on ebay a lot cheaper than the dealer who wants $250.00 for one.

most of the ones on ebay are monsoon mine is a clarion, do they both use the same plug-ins or are they not compatible.

Or would I be better off getting a new radio from best-buy.

    Thanks
    John

Go this route. Aftermarket is almost always better.

I put an aftermarket Sony Xplode in a 2001 Beetle with monsoon. Sounded much better. You can find wiring harness adaptors for aftermarket radios that make it a lot easier to exchange. Also, special trim kits for the install.
