Setting up CarPuter without bose head unit

Hi, I need some feed back on setting up a carputer in my 1999 ML320 with bose system. I want to install a 7 inch screen so I will not be able to use the head unit, but is it possible to connect all the speaker wires and power the amp with my carputer. Will I still get the same sound power and if so wouldn't I need some type of pre-amp to control the volume cause bose system only use the head unit as a preamp cause the amplifier is ussualy separate. please help

What do you want to connect all the speaker wires to? THey should already be connected to your amp. You COULD control your amp from your computer most likely, but there is probably no plug and play solution. You would most likely have to design and create something to do this.
