Alpine CDA-9885 "error" message...

I just got done installing my new Alpine CDA-9885
Everythig works perfectly except when I insert a CD and "error" message pops up on the screen.
I looked to see if there was a transport screw holding the lens in place but I couldnt find one!
Has anyone else had this problem?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Someone else I know has had issues with the CD mechanism on this new generation of alpine headunits. Send it back for repair/replacement.

Turned out the HU one was faulty. The whole cd mechanism was shot!! Cant wait to get my new one!

Scary - this may be the start of a common issue/fault.

No kidding, it seems like alpine goes through waves in between good and bad. I haven't heard anyone having problems with the 9887.

Or it could be a problem with not going through an authorized retailer and ordering online. Not sure where he got it though. I seen someone else having issues with a 9886 he ordered off of ebay and the second one he got from the ebay store was bad too.

I wonder if a simple push of the reset button would have fixed it?
