    Removing 1998 Altima Original Radio/CD

Hello. I am replacing the original Radio/CD in our '98 Altima GLE with a new unit of the same type. How do I remove the original unit? For example How do I remove the face plate and get access to the screws that hold the unit in place.

    Regards,
    Terry

Check one of the car audio forums and you might find instructions for your model. Otherwise, you will have to either buy instructions online or take your chances with a hammer.

Pull the ash tray out and there will be a screw behind that, remove the screw and pull the panel. Then there's some screws for the bottom of the bezel, 2 I think. Then you've gotta pry out the air vents at the top of the dash. There's 2 more screws and the whole bezel should pull off. Then it's either 4 or 6 screws that hole a huge chunk of electronics in.
