    install of avic-n1 in 05 focus

    i have a pioneer avic-n1 that i am going to install into a 2005 ford focus and i have to wire the pink wire to the vehicle speed pulse sensor, anyone know where that is or if i even have to hook it up, i also heard that i might not have to. any help would be apreciated. THANKS!

    Like Kicker said you dont need it. Without it you will still get to use all the navi features but you might be 50-75ft off.

    alright thanks a bunch guys! thats going to help me a lot, i live in ma. and am traveling to virginia beach in the summer, and i didnt want to pay $150 to have it uninstalled from my car and put into my girlfriends.

    so my avic-n1 is in, but the navi seems to be off. i am starting to wonder if i should hook up the speed pulse wire. in the instructions it says that if you dont it might be off a little. my problem is that i finally got my position right, but when the arrow shows the way i am going which is straight, for some reason as i drive down the road the street is going sideways across the screen, sometimes it is almost straight, but most of the time it looks like i am driving sideways. anyone know what the deal is???

    i got it now. i found the speed pulse wire lead. it is the greenwhite wire in the factory radio harness, so i hooked it up and its right on the dot now!

    ok say i hooked up the cd player and now sometimes my buttons on the faceplate dont work the tilt buttons wont work, and sometimes the ATT doesnt work, anyone got ideas. can i order a new faceplate and will it work???
