Are there any restrictions about the angle of radio installation?

Hey guys. I'm thinking about my radio relocation so the question is: Are there any restrictions about the angle of radio installation? I want to install it vertically into my center console hand rest but I'm not sure if the radio can work properly being installed like that. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

There should be no problems with mounting it vertically. The radio should not be affected as long as you are plugging the antenna into it. (i'm assumming you are using the stock antenna)

    Does it play CD's?

Not having it vertical may effect it depending on how it is built. Even a cd player radio should work mounted vertically, but no guarantees. The radio will work fine if that's all you're concerned about.

Why don't you hook it up and hold it vertical in your hands to test it? If it works there, feel free to mount it however you wish.

    Cheers

well. obviously the radio (am, fm) will work fine. I''m talking about CD playing of course. I wanna keep my CD player along with carpc, but I have to either install palyer into glove box or into hand-rest.
Well, it's gonna take me a while to test-drive it in vertical position and since it''s my daily driving car, well.. you know Maybe I will just mount it into glove box. Not sure yet... My car is petite ))) not too much space to play around.

I'm pretty sure it will work fine vertically, but you have to find a way to test it before you can be sure.
Just pull the player out of the dash and see if there's enough slack in the factory harness to let you hold it vertical. Take you about an hour from removal to reinstall if you take your time.

    Good luck

it''s not a first time I''m playing with radios ) I mean - installation, but I have never tried installing them in locations other than stock DINs )))
I know there are some restrictions for CD changers but I don''t know if it applies to Single CD Players as well... I guess I will have to try then )))

If you really expect to get meaningful advice, it might be advantageous to give more information with your question. Some details like what kind of car, what country you live in, etc.

It should work but will most likely skip quite a bit over smaller bumps.
