New car, new stereo, need suggestions

So in my old car I had:

    Deck: Alpine CDA-9833
Speakers (front): MB Quart Reference component w/ tweeter 6.5"
Speakers (rear): MB Quart Reference component w/ tweeter 6x9's (no longer usable)
    Amp: Kicker KX700.5
Subs: 2 Kicker 10" in a big heavy awesome ridiculous box

Anywho, my new car will not accept the size of my subs and I don't care to use subs again anyway, kinda over that stage of my life...what ever real reason, it doesn't matter.

I'm planning on using my deck, front speakers, and amp...lol so I guess really my only question is what to throw in the back.

I need some badass 6x9 able to pump out good bass, price is limited to probably 275$ and I will not accept any recommendations to Alpine. Keep in mind I listen to rock, metal, classic rock...if that makes a difference.

    Thank you for suggestions.

    most pioneer 6x9's are good,
i used to just have one 10 inch sub,
and it sounded awesome when playin rock.
but if you really dont want a sub,
    pioneer speakers with an amp,
    amp can have any wattage
