Splitting RCA's vs speaker terminal in

i was wondering wether using a y splitter to run to a sub amp with a low pass filter and crossover is going to have the same quality as a sub amp with speaker in terminals(also with low pass filter and crossover)

Basicly i have no sub rca coming from my head unit and are trying to figure out wether the amp is going to make up for it.
    Alpine
PDX 1.600(No speaker ins but RCA) vs MRP 650(Speaker ins and RCA ins)

RCA's are gonna sound better than speaker-ins even if they're split.

If you use the Alpine PDX 1.600 it also has a set of RCA outputs, so you just make another run to your other amp, no need for a splitter (unless I'm misunderstanding your needs).

Doesn't matter, the ouput is not filtered one way or another, just passes through and saves another run of cables.

just get a head unit with a rca,
all new head units have rca,
and the better the head unit, the better the sound
