You're going to be very hard pressed to find a sound card with 8 RCA outs.
Reason i know this? most all of us have already looked.
The thing is, with most sound cards, you're going to have to use a 1/8" to RCA Y-cable.
I seriosuly haven't EVER seen a high end cable in that configuration.
Has anyone else?
That's what I'm saying....there really isn't anything out there available...
Unless you go spend the $$ on a semi-pro sound card, which is external from the computer.
You'll find that I don't ever tell people "buy X". I like people to do their research and know exactly why they bought what they did. I guess it's just partially because I spent so long doing the research myself.
Only you know how much money you want to spend and what your standards are for a project like this.
If you want someone to just tell you what to buy, sorry, I just can't bring myself to do it.
The M-Audio Delta 1010LT seem to have everything I need. Am I not right?
After I saw a post of a user that built his entire PC on the 2-DIN space, I am thinking on doing that myself. So I don't need a case anymore. I am gonna build my own.
I am open to any suggestion guys! Thank you very much!
The quality of the soundcard is much more important than the connectors. The M-Audio unit I use has 1/8" outs and I convert those to RCA for my amps.
Which soundcard do you use? Do you think you lose quality with this conversion comparing to a soundcard with RCA outs?
Do you use your PC to do the tuning/processing of your audio system?
I'm running the M-Audio Firewire 410. I haven't done any apples to apple comparisons to know if I'm losing SQ by converting to RCA. I would think that it would be minimal if any.
I am not currently doing software tuning at the moment, but I'm planning on it. I'm still trying to shake out bugs to get everything else working 100% of the time.
