I am thinking on getting a DELTA 1010LT. But it seems it has a lot of features I wouldn't use.
Basically all I need is a GREAT SQ soundcard with 8 RCA outs or with regular outputs that I could use cables to convert to RCA. I need to be able to control my 3-way frontstage actively and my 10" sub also.
And while the quality of the sound card is important, when you're talking about an install on the level of competing in IASCA finals, then ABSOLUTELY YES the quality of the cable is VERY important.
NOT to be confused with spending thousands of dollars on cables mind you....
sound card list that Durwood worked up. there's a lot of good information in there.
exactly....it's still a crappy cable.
the only half way decent one I've seen is one that Monster makes for the iPod.
connectors on the soundcard side too.
I will look in Durwood list to see if I can find a nice model.
So far I kinda like the Delta 1010LT.
Thank you so much for all the help so far guys!
Some options I am trying to decide on:
- ASUS Xonar D2/PM (my favorite so far - ASIO compatible / Comes with 3.5mm to RCA adaptors / Pretty great componenets - any opinions?)
- MAudio Delta 1010LT
- Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 (possibility to upgrade OPAMP in the future)
New System Idea:
Case: VoomPC-2 Enclosure - u$90
Power Supply: M2-ATX-HV 160w - U$90
MoBo Mini ITX: JetWay J7F2WE2G-OC-PB - U$230
Memory: G.SKILL Extreme 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 - u$20
HD: Western Digital Scorpio WD1600BEVSRTL 160GB 5400 RPM SATA 1.5Gb/s - U$70
SoundCard: ASUS Xonar D2/PM 7.1 PCI - U$170
Display: Xenarc 700TSV - U$350
Can you guys give me any input/ideas please?
