    alpine cda-7850 aux-in installation

    hey all

i have an alpine cda-7850 HU and i want to install a 3.5mm aux input... i have bought the adapter to convert my cd changer input to RCA which i will then convert the RCA to 3.5mm.

my question is... my HU doesnt have aux as a source... does anyone know if i have to go into a setup thing on my HU to turn on the aux input or should the HU just sense that there is something plugged in and offer my an aux source?

    any help is appreciated

In the manual it states that you can go into the function menu and turn on the aux.
