I am looking at putting together a carpc and deleting my head unit in my crx.
Here is my plan:
I plan to use a mini itx motherboard and need to know what sound card to use.
I am planning to use a stand alone HD radio tuner, controlled via usb, and feeding out of the sound card feeding a nice infinity 5 way amp.
Amp
HD Radio
Will it be hard to have the line in from the HD radio pass through the pc and fee dto all speaker outputs?
Ideally 5 RCA cables from the sound card to the amp would be sweet.
Thanks!

I was hoping for something a little more specific like a recommendation on a sound card. The only reason I was asking about the line is that I've heard of people having problems, like with it not feeding line in to all speakers or something.
the thing is, with this group of people, you might not get someone to tell you: "Buy X"
We just don't work like that. Your needs, your taste, and your budget are all unique to YOU...not to us.
We've all done our research and learned about what it's going to take. We've all done 'our time' so to speak. That's what it takes in this hobby at this point. You HAVE to understand WHY you chose the hardware you did and WHY it works the way it does. If you don't, then you're more likely to not know how to trouble shoot it, more likely to no understand how to fix it, and more likely to just give up on it and then you've REALLY blown your money.

I use the onboard sound from my motherboard and am very happy with it.
Of course I have a board with better audio than the standard-issue Realtek chipset, too.
Really? Where did you see that? The only reason I was asking about the line is that I've heard of people having problems, like with it not feeding line in to all speakers or something.
Maybe you should check this FAQ: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/advf...iew&advfaqid=7
I think that will explain why people only get two channels...
