I have a 1600 watt mono class d amp and two dual voice coil memphis 12s I have them wired parallel witch gives me a 2 ohm load but to get max power I need a 1 ohm load and you can't bridge a mono block cause they go into a single inside the amp even tough it has two speaker inputs on the out side so how do I get a 1 ohm load
The amplifier is already bridged, you can't bridge it any further.
Like audiology was getting at, the only conditions you can get your 2 speakers wired down to 1 ohm is if either you had 2 speakers with 2 ohms a piece, or if you had 2 dual voice coil speakers with 4 ohms each coil.

the subs are dual voice coil memphis 4 ohms a peice not sure the model they are older with the orange basket and a magnet that looks like it can come off the amp is a 1606d hifonics brutus the specs are
4 ohm 550x1
2ohm 1100x1 these don't say peek power or RMS
1 ohm 1600x1
dampening >250
singal to noise>95db
thd&noise<0.08
variable input leavel (unbalanced)0.2-9v
input leavel comtrol (balenced)0.04-18v
input impedance(unbalanced)47k-ohm
input impedance(balanced)20k-ohm
hears the specs i thought you might have wanted but i have'nt done car audio in 6 years other then "hay you hook this up and tune it " but i guess thats what it is so info is grately apprisheated and thanks![]()
So with your current setup you cannot increase the performance or effiency without changing out the components, ie amp or subs.

I checked if un hooking one sub made a diffrence and it sounded the same as two so I then checked to make sure it was the same with the other and it was so i checked the volts at the amp and they are way low so i got a memphis lighting cap but still need to hook it in line and see what happens and by chance whould any body have a idea as to how many watts the subs I got might be theyare 07 model memphis
they are 800 watts peek and dual 2 ohm voice coil that mean I should wire diffrently
