    amplifier hookup

My current setup in non carpc. I am making the transition and I have 2 Amplifiers. 1 is dedicated for my subs, the other is a 4 channel for my interiors. On the back of my radio there is a front output which is what the interiors are hooked up to. I have 2 sets of RCA going to that amplifier, they are hooked up to the radio with 2 y jacks. The other output is labeled sub and that goes directly to the sub. Now without using 3 sets of Y jacks to utilize all 3 RCA's , how do you recommend hooking up the amplifiers?

    You have two options.
You either use the 3 sets of Y cables or you put an equalizer in-line to convert simple stereo to 4+1.

    Simple.

Since you say you're making the transition (I assume to a carputer), get a 4.1/5.1/7.1 sound card when building you carputer and wire the amplifiers accordingly.

Unless you're staying with a headunit. Then you're stuck with Darques recommendation. If you are planning to keep the head unit, I say take the plunge and get rid of it. No sense getting in the pool if you plan to stay in the kiddy end...........

    C'mon in, the water's fine!

    cheers
