USB sound card behind USB hub?

Are some of you running your USB sound card behind a hub or just feeding it directly to a usb port on pc?

Mine was going through a hub, with GPS Module + Touch screen + Wifi. It struggled to play 24bit music, it'd pause and skip. I connected it straight to my M/Board and havent had a problem since.

Well my Audigy 2NX usb sound card is behind a hub but almost everytime I start up my computer (full boot up) Windows has the little X mark on the lower right taskbar, and therefore I can't hear sound. It shows up on the device manager though, if I disable and enable it it then shows up fine and sound is heard.
