so he gave you a headunit and no harness
hey first post i need help
a buddy gave me a kenwood z727 and i do not know where to find the wires or a diagram of how to hook it up its got some odd plugs not the typical oldschool stuff im used to
where do i get these cables?
and if they cannot be found where can i find a diagram to dismantle it so i can install it
ya he lost it thats y he didnt have it
how do i find a harness?
and hey its a good unit and its free so i had to take it
the logical thing is to findout how many pin the connector is and buy it on ebay for 5 or 6 bucks
do they have a website when i googled the model i did not find anything from kenwood.com
and if no site how do i find a dealer localy?
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Support/Where_to_Buy/and if no site how do i find a dealer localy?
You could also get off your butt and go to a car stereo shop and perhaps ask someone if they sell Kenwood products and/or if they are able to get you a harness for the unit you have.
I'm also going to suggest engaging your brain more than you engage Google.
Seriously, you're asking how to do things that are pretty much common sense, but require the use of more than a c9ouple brain cells.
Here's what I'm going to givbe you, only because I'm feeling generous and I haven't had my morning coffee, making me less cantankerous than usual.
From the Kenwood site, I found a link to PArts distributors.
I checked out one (and only one) parts distributor and searched on your model number.
You get a list that includes your wiring harness:
This operation took all of about sixty seconds and invilved a bit of reading what was on the screen in front of me. Oh yeah. It took engaging brain cells, too.
Not bad for an old man who hasn't had his morning coffee.
