Has anyone with a 2006-2008 VW found a good ground point in the trunk??

I'm troubleshooting a possible ground problem and trying to rule out the issue being a good solid ground point in the trunk. Anybody have any luck finding a really good bare metal point back there? It's like VW doesn't want us to have anything to ground to!

I don't know about the Passats, however, my 2006.5 Jetta has several threaded ground studs behind the trunk liner on the driver's side of the trunk. The liner covering the side, not the bottom. Some have wires grounded there already. I'm not sure about passenger side, as I was only working on the driver's side. I cannot remember if ther were any on the package tray when I put in my Phatbox.
