Subtle but constant stactic feedback noise present on carputer

I have put up with this for almost a year now and it is just starting to **** me off. If i mute all my music, and i have it cranked its a really loud cracklin feedback noise... Whenever i make a click on the screen it also spikes the feedback a bit too.

I have my car speakers wired to a pioneer amp, and the screen and computer running off the battery.

Any recomendations on what the hell I could do?

What is your audio source? Onboard? PCI? Do you have it grounded? Are your signal wires away from your VGA/power wires?

I've heard this sound only from the sub. I'm using amps and external sound card. The sound that you're hearing is actually the processor noise. That is why when you do something on the system, the noise becomes louder.

Yes I am using onboard audio, I stopped by "Sound Advice" yesterday and he determined that the sound i was hearing was just a noise on a low frequensy coming from the computer. With the gain on the amp powering my door speakers turned down it doesnt pick up the noise, but my max volume drops.

Could a preamp or a line out amplifier increase the strength of the current coming into the amp.
