Sorry it took me a little while to respond.

You need that wiring kit and probably a kit to mount it in your dash. Because the factory amp is gone, you can't use the RCA cables from the kit. You will need to run speaker wire from the dash to wherever the factory amp was. Those wires will connect to the speaker outputs. You will need 4 sets of speaker wire.

Did I word that confusing? Let me know if it doesn't make sense.

I don't know about you, but visuals always help me.
You want to splice your new wires with the existing ones where the factory amp used to be. Front Left to Front Left, Front right to front right, ...

    That harness should work.

The colors in the diagram will most likely not match your car. Im not sure what color they will be. You will need to figure out which ones go to the speakers. I would use a 9v batt on the speaker wire to test it. The speaker will make a pop noise when you put the 9v on the speaker wires.

The wires in the dash will connect directly to the head unit. There should be wires on the back that are labeled "speaker".

the wires in my dash are all connected to the white harnesses .so i have to snip them off the harness and just wire them to the harness i buy to hook everything up?this wont damage anything? i dont want to mess up the factory harness from lexus.and you said something about wiring speaker wires from where my amp was.im wiring the taped off amp wires to what in my dash?

The harness that you will buy will plug right into the factory harness. Don't cut any of the factory wires. You will connect your aftermarket HU to the wires on the harness and then plug the harness into your factory harness.

If I understood you correctly from before, the taped off wires go to the speakers, right? if not, what are those wires connected to?

the taped off wires are from the factory amp under my passenger seat.you said before i splice into them to connect my speaker wires from the aftermarket head unit wires. or when i hook the harnesses together in my dash i will have extra wires for my speakers?those are the ones i connect to the taped off wires from the factory amp thats missing?

Not to try to further complicate things since you two seem to be working things out, but...

Are you sure the factory speakers are still there?
Did he replace the speakers? Did he take them with him, leaving holes where the speakers were?
Are the factory speakers hooked up to the factory wiring still? Maybe take a look under your rear deck/parcel shelf from the trunk-side and see if there's wires connected to the speakers (if there's speakers).
Did the previous owner run all new wires from HIS amp location out to the speakers? Or did he just power the subs from his amp?

IF there's speakers, and they're connected up to wires, you need to find out where those wires go. Do they look like factory harnesses that plug into the speakers, or just wires twisted around or soldered to the speaker terminals?

It almost sounds like it would be easier to either run all new speaker wires from your aftermarket radio to each speaker, OR go to any car audio place, and have them install it. I don't imagine it costs too much to have them install your radio. I think the shops around me charge from $50 to $100 max.

Dunno if any of that was any help or not. If not, just ignore what I said and you two can continue on with your conversation. Good luck either way. I hate not having tunes.

    Cheers,

    Kris
