    We made it!

Sorry for lack of updates, project is alive and good news are on the way.
I finally managed to get prototype board working in my car. It receiving commands from my IBUS/Zune controller (http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...i-zune-hd.html) via UART interface and changing volume on H701. There are still some minor stability issues (controller sometimes hanging and needs rebooting), hope to fix it shortly. Nevertheless basic functionality is here and I'm glad I could finally move RUX to the trunk. Hope to shoot down the firmware bugs on the weekend and make final board in next two weeks.

Bugs and glitches are finally fixed. Controller is stable now. Volume settings, input selection and preset switching are implemented.

Here's the video of my system in action:

    P. S. I used to press RUX's buttons on video only to show that volume and inputs are actually changing. Controller is fully functional independently from RUX and could work with or without it.

Thanks Nik for the update and video. I can only comment on all the work you've done and say it's impressive stuff.

Is it too early to ask what thoughts you have on distributing this as a product?

    Cheers,

    Tony

I'm going to develop and produce small volume of the controllers for community. Project is non-commercial, so it shouldn't be bloody expensive. Firmware source code will be freely available.
