Just published Ai10 firmware source code: https://sites.google.com/site/projai10/ai10-source-code
As a bonus to H70x controls code contains all necessary routines for main Alpine CD Changer operations (init, play/pause, select disk/track, prev/next disk/track). It allows to control over AiNet both PXA-H70x and CD-Changer without Alpine HU.
There are no terminal interface for CD changer commands yet, hope to find some time to add it soon.
Feel free to post comments and requests.
I assume this would also work with a PXA-H510, is this a correct assumption? If so this may be a good option also as they can be found for 250$ with the display. The description on alpines site says it has a ainet input. Of course the commands need to be added to the firmware.
Thanks for the reply,
If you could and it isnt to big of a issue that would be great. I really think I will get one if it can be used. I just dont think I can get the women's approval for the 700 or 701. :) But 250$ for a 510 I can do.
As far as I'm aware H600 (and probably H510) is quite good sounding device. Without tweaks it should sound even better than stock H70x, thanks to better DACs. Main issue with H510/H600 is lack of Freq. filters, so it won't let you build bi-amped system without analogue crossovers.
I'll try to get H600 and check how it's operating over the AiNet, hovewer it might take few weeks.
Thanks again for all the work on this it really is the best option out there in my opinion.
Do you sell the PCB's and or kits or do I just need to get one printed and buy the parts from Digikey or something similar?
Recently found out that Alpine MRA-F350 5-channel AMP with Toslink input is being initialized and controlled over AiNet just like PXA-H701. So after very minor FW tweak Ai10 could turn MRA-F350 on and control the volume. Those AMPs are pretty cheap on ebay now, so it could be a nice option for those who looking for inexpensive AMP with pure digital connection to Car PC.
