My latest AiNet CDC emulator using PIC 24 and minimal external hardware is now up and running and so far is working well, still working on ipod control though.

I am now ready to expand it to talk to other Alpine devices, when I can get hold of them.

Does anyone have dumps of AiNet commands from Alpine equipment other than CDC they can post? This would help greatly.

Hi Colin,

I could try to construct your latest PIC circuit, and then try to run some dumps for the PXA H701.

I already have a PIC programmer, although I will need to check if it can program this particular device.

Let me know if you think this is feasible!

Hey whats the haps with this?

Im getting a local electronics guy, who does contract work for our company making custom rs232 devices and other weird things, looking into this.

Although he says he doesnt work with PIC. But reckons he can do it with another microcontroller, and then... I'll try fumble my way though writing the code in C.

I have a CDA-9887 headunit and will talk to the guy at the local caraudio store and try get him to let me "tryout" some other gear. I don't really know him, but he seems pretty friendly so I think it could happen haha.

Subscribed. Also highly interested in controlling a PXA-H701 from a carpc, avoiding the whole head unit use.
I possess a IVA-W502R and PXA-H100 now, but can't help with dumps until I make a similar PIC board... only oscilloscope but this won't help.

Would love to know if this project can continue.

I have seen various attempts at Alpine AiNet, and it looked like this project got the furthest, and it would be a shame to loose the great work that has been done here.
