Great news and thanks for the status report.
I have some good news. Last night I found out proper handshake sequense (for HU emulation) and commands needed to switch the presets and adjust bass level. Now whole logic is clear and we're going to build first prototype board. Hope to complete it and post pictures in few days.
Even greater news and, again, thanks for the update.
Staggering progress in such a short time. Thanks for the update.
Forgot a function button I use a lot: Surround Mode.
My H701 doesn't auto select dolby when playing movies, so this is a manual selection.
Slightly off topic, (as I cannot see this possible) I wish the centre channel had a dedicated level control such as the sub. Sub very useful, and would love the immediacy with setting speech levels when in surround. Analogue pre-amp control the most likely solution for myself I think...
Guess you mean Dolby Pro Logic mode as Dolby Digital multichannel mode have to be detected and decoded automatically.
Centre channel level could be adjusted by RUX (5.1CH Setup->Output level menu) and I pretty sure it could be controlled over AiNet either.
I'll check both these settings later when controller will be complete.
First prototype board has been build and initially tested last night. It gets +12V, Ground and two AiNet lines as input and outputs to UART interface. There also input wires for firmware flashing.
Hardware seems to work fine, however there are some minor software glitches needs to be fixed after switching from Atmega8 to newer and better available Atmega88.
Board image is attached.
P. S. I know, it doesn't looks nice. It's just a first prototype for debugging in the car.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Looks beautiful to me!
