I will have my CP2E controlling just about everything......... lol if you saw the shematics of my van you'd flip lol! I have a Nissan Elgrand E51 Highway star (from JAPAAAAAN!!!) with electric sliding doors, I have a 50cm LCD to be installed where the 8" drop down LCD is now.. alarm system with GPS tracking... Iphone App- Crestron Mobile, Xpanel frunning on one of the 2 screens in the front with Centrafuse on the other... Crestron is wired in to everything and it will give me off site control, oh and I have a Ip based finger print reader to be installed on the exterior which talks to the CP2E...Much programming ahead!! lol but I have contact closures from my steering wheel to talk to the cp2E which in turn talks to the Ai-Net of my H700 :-)
so this is a one way device right? so no real time feedback is possible for now?
What kind of feedback you're looking for? I'm planning to implement some simple terminal based protocol to talk with device, so it could send confirmation when command is done. It could also store list of current settings in internal memory and provide status when needed.
Hey Nik, Yeah that sort of thing- Feedback like command received/executed so I can program feedback on the control system i.e display current input, maybe volume position etc (for volume sliders and such)
Absolutely it's not important at all to start with! I'm that impressed with what you've achieved already mate! Let me know the second your ready to produce one and Ill happily donate whatever $$ you need (within reason!) :-)
also, im a digital hardware guy... im not a big alpine guy, but i do see potential here
some of you might already be familiar with my products
in anycase, i can code in C, C# and (ugh vb6)
im a atmel person, but can adapt
if you need any help...
-Thanks

Sun, Come shine my way
May healing waters bury all my pain
Wind, Carry me home
The fabric of reality is tearing apart
The piece of me that died
Will return To live again
Thanks for kind offer. The idea is to finish at least basic functionality by myself and then make all code open to commutiny for further development. At this stage time is major restriction as my newborn baby requires much more attention than everything else. Hope to find few nights on the next week to spend on final debug. There are no big issues anymore as everything used to work on the table and two Atmegas. I just need to polish read/write code to coexist well in one Atmega.
