Balancing sound output of front and rear speakers

I have been searching around on google looking for how to do this properly, yet haven't found a good answer. I have a 4 channel amp in my car, I have the front and rears running in parrallel off of channels 1n2. The sub runs bridged off of 3n4. The rear 6x9's are a bit louder than the fronts, and I am trying to pad them down some. Does anyone here know how to calculate what size resistors to use on the rears to bring them down a little?

This is the information I was looking for:

    http://www.apicsllc.com/apics/Misc/filter2.html

Has crossover and padding calculators on it.
