Relocation Head Unit to Overhead Console

Hi All. I've got a patrol and was hoping to remove the standard 2 din radio to put a screen in its place. As such I have purchased a single din pioneer head unit which I was hoping to place in an overhead console. To do this I would have to extend the standard car audio harness by around 2meters. Whould this be OK or is there something else I should do?

    Thanks for the help,

    Luke.

As long as you've worked out everything that would let the deck "work" in its stock location, extending the wires 2 meters is not an issue. Make sure you use decent RCA cables for the audio path and do not run them next to any power...
