I am planning on trying to do something similar. I still haven't installed a sub yet, but here is a link to a thread about what i plan to do:

in my installs, i just used windows volume controls and used the audio drivers equalizer, if you have more than just sterio controls ( 5.1 etc ) then windows advanced volume control will allow you to adjust front, center, rear, and sub output levels

    distructions:

    double click the speaker icon
    click Options
    click Properties

you should see a new window that has "show the following volume controls" above a white scroll list box full of items such as:

    Master Volume
    Wave
    SW Synth
    CD Player
    Front
    Rear
    Subwoofer
    Center
    etc etc etc

in that list you want to select Master, Wave, Front, Rear, Subwoofer, and Center

now this is in the assumption that you are using 5.1 surround sound capable sound card and have the sub's amp plugged into the correct audio output plug

for my carpc's i just use the onboard AC97 Realtek HD Audio as the less items i have plugged into the pc slots, the less i have to worry about booming them loose and shorting out the pc

now if you have a simple sound card that only offers sterio, and you are using nothing more than a bunch of " Y " adapters to feed your various amps, then well, theres not much you can do from your computer screen, you are going to have to manually adjust the input levels for each type of amp you are using by either an inline level control, or the gain control on the amp

it would be a little more helpfull if you listed what type of computer you are using, operating system you are running and what sound card you plan on utilizing.... your request for help is too vague, please elaborate
