Suggestions

Okay so this is my situation I have an 05 Toyota Camry SE
I have 6x9's all around. My question to the audiophiles here is what would you get from newegg?
Reason why I say newegg is because I plan to use them to build my whole carputer system. I need to have my speakers replaced so I figured at no payments for a year (anything 999 and up) I could go head and get speakers for my car too. I'm pretty big on something that bangs. (Down south music with lots of bass and more bass, Baltimore Club Music stuff along those lines).

So if anybody is interested.

I can get 6x9's in the front in the doors and in the back in the trunk. If I can get away with replacing the speakers without needing a sub that would be coo but from what i heard it would be probably good to get an amp for the carputer to hook up too

I would have to say, stay away from 6X9's...
Are you SURE that's what's in the car right now?

I would make adapter plates and run 6.5 or 5.25" 2-ways or coaxials...

Can't tell you what they sound like though! lol

If you want higher SQ, then you'll just have to shop somewhere else...

6x9's are what I have in there now so your sayin to stay away from the 6x9's cuz of what they are offering on newegg? or because i'd probably get something better from the 6.5's or the 5.25's

what's SQ? i'm pretty sure that means more bass if so you have any 6x9's you would suggest maybe I might be able to at least get the back done and wait to get the door panels done

I say stay away from 6X9's, because they are old-school, and 6.5" drivers usually work much better...
If you want bass from them, then you need good, properly sized enclosures...
6.5's will perform better than 5.25's in this respect...

I can't recommend any 6X9's...sorry.

coo you have been more then helpful i'll make my way to best buy and see what kinda 6.5's they can tell me to get along with how much it would cost to get it installed in my car.

Well if your looking for speakers to keep up with lots of bass your not going to want 6x9s at all. Your going to definately want to go with a nice set of components( seperate speaker,cross over and tweeter) and an amp to push them.For the type of bass it sounds like your looking for your going to need to run a subwoofer and amp as well.

Another option I've been itching to try out is installing a pair of Tang Band 6 X 9 subs in place of the rear fill (in an application which already has 6 X 9's), since rear sound is useless to me anyway. But it sounds like you're only going to order from NE, and are looking more for an out-of-the box setup. And those are the only 6 X 9's you'll hear me discuss with thoughts of using.

that doesn't sound like a bad idea that would fix the whole having to get a sub solution if thet bang hard enough for me put those in the back and then get the polk's to go in the front the 6x5's and probably get an amp so it's ready for the carputer to go in
were would be a good place to get the tang band you were mentioning above? i'll check out ebay and see what they have on there

Parts Express is the only place I would recommend. For the 6X9's I mentioned, they will HAVE to be amped. And for any mildly decent quality components to "shine", you will have to amp them as well. Check with the folks at PE about which of the two lines they would suggest for more of an IB setup, which is kind of what you will have, if you're looking to install them on a rear deck.
