car puter audio is this right?

Ok so I am installing my system and I need to know if I am doing this correctly.

I am going to be running this sound card...
Realtek ALC662 High Definition audio codec + Composite/RCA Line Output

So basically I understand that the front channel I will run a 3.5mm to rca cable to my front speakers amp from the sound card. then a 3.5mm to rca cable to my rear speakers amp from the sound card.

what I dont understand is the center and subwoofer jack are shared. so do I run a 3.5mm to rca off the soundcard then put a y rca on the right rca plug to my subwoofer amp and then another y rca on the left rca plug to my center channel amp?

I imagine I will need to run a line driver as well as the voltage will have dropped with that many connections?

Your close..the sub/center is the same, stereo 3.5mm jack...
Except one side is the 'sub', the other is 'center'..if you plugged headphones into this jack, this is what you'd hear...
As far as a 'Y' splitter, if you want to run 2 channel amp input, then yes...
Same with the center channel...if you want to run 2 channels (2 speakers?) for the center channel, then a 'Y' adapter is what you'll need...

For example, if you have a single channel, mono sub amp, then just the one 3.5mm-to-RCA is all you'll need (I think)...

ok well here is my system. i have a set of kicker components in the doors with an amp pushing them. i have a set of kicker components in the rear with an amp pushing them. I have 2 15" solo barics with an amp pushing them. and I am going to install 2 3.5" speakers as a center channel with a seperate amp pushing them. all of my amps are 2 channel. ( left and right). so all the center/sub channel is...is a mono channel signal?

thanks for the help tho I really appreciate it. now i feel confident to ditch my jvc dvd player and run a carputer

It's a stereo 3.5mm jack you'll need, but both L/R signals are mono of course...one side is sub, the other center...
And you'll want to split them into both channels of your amps
