Thread: Touch screen w/ amp or computer to amp?

external amp is going to be better quality... and the first one had no amp. its just a motorized touch screen.

I understand it will be better to have a seperate amp, but will it be THAT MUCH better that it would warrant the (im assuming) higher price and increased labor?

This is a cheap yet good amp if your running 4-6 2-3way stock speakers not amazing but better than what you will get out of that other system

for a few bucks more this will more than double the one I just mentioned, this amp is also built better than the other amp

hmm... dosn't seem too expensive...

right now yes im running stock speakers, but ultimately i plan to upgrade to something slightly better becuase they really really suck lol. Probly some cheap infinity's or something similar... looks like that amp will have no problem for them.

also, i have a 4 gauge wire from my engine bay to my sony xplod 1200w already, can i split it down to 3 8 guage and use 1 for the sub, 1 for the amp, and one for the pc?

at least it'll be powerful enough for components if you are going that route. and jensen's seem to be reliable from what i have heard.

how long do the wires stretch? the amps on the side of the chart should match your alternators amps

and that sub only gives out 330watts lol

obviously i was listing peak watts, because i didn't remember the RMS and got the sub second hand. the sub does not bump... but have you ever listened to something with NO BASS? it sucks! so i just threw that in there to even out the audio and at least have it listen-able.

the real question i was asking, was whether or not a 4 guage wire will be able to handle all that current.

wire stretch isn't an issue, i can always add more after the distribution block.

EDIT: after reviewing your chart let me rephrase the question. will a 4 gauge wire which can handle X amps according to that chart which weve all seen, how many amps will that 700w sub actually pull if its only powering ****ty tinny little speakers?

as for speakers there cheap (45 bucks a pair, shipped) yet look good I'm dropping four of these babies in my friends corolla they should sound amazing if they hold up to there specs (as I imagine they will), will let you know once I install em'

but were going with this amp, should make them sound and bump very nicely

you really think those things are gonna hold to a 600w peak spec? thats a pretty tall order, especially for a pair of pyramids.

whats the RMS wattage on that? i couldn't find the info anywhere.
