Crutchfield is a legitimate and well known (if overpriced) company
i see they have amazing deals. but some scams have popped. not an overwhelming amount but i have seen some comments online about using this company. anybody have any info on this?
i tend to go with the overpriced aspect-- most of their items are priced at or right around the msrp. but, i am told they have amazing customer support, and a company like that would not be as big as they are if they didn't do something right oneof the other big advatages is that they are factory authorized by alot of companies--whereas, most internet sites aren't(but i still tend to shop at places like sonic electronics becasue the deals are much better).
I've bought stuff from there and was very pleased with the results.

They are good, good support and they're a one stop shop, you can get everything you need for a head unit install, but if you search around you can find much better prices...
there are a couple of other places that have good service, but if having the factory warranty is a huge deal, then crutchfield is one of the better places for everything you might need-- they also like to include alot of the extra little harnesses that make a install go that much faster.
i have used sonic electronics for alot of my install--their cheaper, but alot of stuff they sell is not factoy warranteed(they are not factory authorized for alot of items), but they warrantee everything they sell, usually for about a year(which is usually just as good as the mfg).
Crutchfield does have quite good service, I called with some questions about some speakers I bought from them years after the purchase and they pulled out the info I needed. Also their outlet stuff can be pretty good prices, but otherwise most is overpriced.

I got my Sub and New speakers for very well priced, as far as the audio shops around me are selling stuff.
