Yeah, small great amps are not cheap... For less than $150, a eBay motorcyle amp is the best option

Oh, and before I forget, make sure to fuse the power cable by the battery, and if the amp doesn't have a internal fuse, add onpe right before the amp

Yeeeah I thought so... I hope it sounds well.

So I should put two fuses... should I feed the amp from the m2 or directly from the battery?

feed the amp off the battery-- it could draw more than the m2 could put out. most motorcycle amps do not have internal fuses, so to protect your car, and your sanity, it is best to hook up a fuse near the battery, and at the amp/device-- this is so that if you were to get in a accident, and that power wire somehow gets cut/pinched, the fuse at the battery pops, lessening the chance for a electrical fire. or if there is problem with the amp, it will probably pop the fuse near it first, and this will mak it easier to trouble shoot-- you would know that it was not the power wire that was causing the problems, and could focus on the amp and its other connections.

I use to use motorcycle amps in my install and I actually liked them. They are super cheap (under $30.00) and they get the job done.

Here is the link. Its $32.99 with free shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/4CH-400-WATT-AMP...d=p3286.c0.m14

hahah thanks for the positive info on these amps HiJack!

I was looking at these just then on ebay, and wondering if they were any good, and found this post at the same time....

Just snapped one up, only thing I'm wondering about is the quality of those spring fittings for the outputs....might end up cracking it open and putting proper screw terminals on if possible.

Thank you HiJackZx1, and some questions:

    Does they sound well?
How do you switch it on? Does it have remote in? I would need a connector, wouldn't I?

On stock speakers they sound very well. I actually noticed an improvement over my stock head units built in AMP. As far as the connectors go, you will be surprised at how good the quality is. They are not cheap connectors at all. Very tough and durable. I am actually still using one of the amps on my new install (for the headphone system). Only thing that is cheap is the RCA cables that come with it. Those are cheap and loose. You have to replace them anyways though, since you have to get RCA to 3.5 cables.

Also, with these motorcycle amps you'll need to wire in a relay so they'll turn on when they're supposed to, instead of being always on.
