maybe the 50rms amp is under-rated, and actually putting out more power.
or
the 80rms is over-rated and putting out less power.
* I assume that both amps are rated power at the same speaker impedance (ohms)..
Ok, I have 2 amps. One of them is 50rms x 2channels and the second one is 80rms x channel.
I connected my 50rms amp to 2 subs. So, as i understand both are running 50 rms.
Now the weird thing is that when i bridge my second amp (80 x ch, or 200 bridged) the sub hits less and is quieter, any ideas why?
***EDIT***
One puts 50rms to 1 sub and the other amp is putting 200 (bridged). 50rms is louder and hits harder!!!!!!!!!
Hope i made it more clear![]()

MacMini in an Alfa? - Why not!
it could also be that what you perceive as "louder" may only be more distortion.
what are the brand/models of the 2 amps?

Same sub or different sub? Could be more/less sensative...
Are you sure that 200rms isn't peak??

It could realy be distortion, which makes the 50W amp sound loder. Are amp models the same?
