I suggest integrating a PC.
Ok Right now I have 2 10" mtx 5500's in a vented enclosure with a profile 1000 watt amp giving out 500 rms at 2ohms. My bro just got 2 10" alpine type r's in a vented enclosure with a kenwood 9104d mono amp pushing out over 900 rms at 1ohm.
So what I was wondering is if i got 3 pioneer chapion series 10" subs rated at 350rms each. and his amp and wire them to 1.33 ohms in a sealed box if it will be louder. I believe it will be since I will have 3 and their sensitivity is rated at 90 instead of alpines 84. If anyone has any other suggestions im open for hearing.
Also I am also planning on getting two sets of component infinity kappas (one in front wear stock speakers are located and other pair making a box for in my back seat) and wirring them with a 4 channel amp while keeping a pair of coaxial infinity kappa 6x9s in the back stock speaker holder, running off my aftermarket stereo. is this possible?
In the end I will have something that looks like this...
- Sony 630ui head unit
- 4 infinity kappa component speakers ( running of kenwood 4 channel amp)
- 2 infinity kappa coaxial 2 way speakers (running off head units 22 rms)
- Kenwood Kac - 8404 4 channel amp (75 rms each channel at 2 ohm)
- Kenwood Kac - 9104d mono amp (10hm stable putting out < 900 rms)
- 3 Pioneer Premier champion series subwoofers (350 rms each)
How will this sound? Its around a 900 Dollar system I believe. Any other suggestions or replacements?
(psst: check the sticky at the top of this forum)
if you are serious about spl, what are you still toying with little 10 inchers for?
And the 1 ohm game is like playing with fire with gasoline soaked gloves- you are just barely above dead shorting the amp....
If you want bass, move up to a jl audio w7, or kicker L7, and at least 12" or larger
... Alright well im not integrating a pc at this moment.. and the 12's of pioneer premeir are 50 watts rms more and 91 sensitivity instead of 90.. so if you understand how loud a sub can get the difference is minimal in comparison to 10's being able to hit alot broader range of frequency notes... I appreciate the advice just dont think going the usual jl w7 kicker l5 and other big titled names are better.
hmmm looks like i joined the wrong forum. my mistake.
i have seen a single 10 hit mid 150's personaly.
what kind of sub/amp/car combo was that?
DD 10", Stetsom amp in a CRX. .
i dont know what model sub or amp tho.
