PC to speakers ... how about this amp?

I'm planning to use the FitPC2 for the carputer (it has a line out jack) and no other radio or head unit. So presumably I need an amp of some kind between the FitPC2 line out and the car's speakers, right? Something like this?... http://www.bybyte.com/amp.htm

Yes that would work fine. But you would have to enclose it

I planned on getting bybyte's black box to hold the LCD and the FitPC2; the little open-frame amp should fit inside there as well.

I'm not a HUGE audiophile -- I just want something to listen to, not win awards or impress neighboring traffic. My car is a convertible so even with the top up there's a lot of road noise. I want to be able to hear music over that, especially on the freeway. I only have room for two small speakers anyway, 6.5'' or 4x6 (speakers on this page fit my car).

    tnx,
    Dave

being that i can't see any specs of the amp on bybytes site, i would recommend a motorcycle amp on ebay-- they will be similar in specs to a factory radio.

Here are (minimal) specs on Bybyte's open-frame amp.

Here are two different motorcycle amps on eBay ... any comments on them? ...

i would like to know how they get 4 channels out of a 2 channel amp...

i would be inclined to go with the second one, only because they list the rms wattage- indicating they took more time to properly test it.

so far, all of the amps have been 2 channel-- not sure if you need a 4 channel amp, but for about the same price, this one has been used by some other members, and i have not heard any complaints:

Why not kick in the extra $30 to $60 and get a good brand name 4 channel amp? Can get JL, kenwood, voicestream, alpine or a kicker for around $100 that will sound way better then these geto amps.
